![]() I agree though that this should be supported natively in Discord (seems pretty basic for those of us in VR). You can mute or decrease the volume for a particular app or for system notifications without effecting the volume from other apps. If you have the right audio drivers installed, you can control your system’s speakers and the headphone jack separately. These aspects are basic functionality from the AutoHotkey Tutorial. It lets you control volume on a per-app basis. ![]() Here's the link from above on how to use NirCmd application to manipulate the volume in Windows Volume Mixer: įrom there, just use basic functionality of Hotkeys and Run commands in AutoHotkey to get your joystick/wheel button to trigger the execution. ![]() In other words, we will add circuits for attenuating or boosting a range of frequencies e.g., bass, midrange. ![]() Later, we will add some circuits for audio equalization. Keep in mind, this is a workaround, so the volume for the ENTIRE discord application is decreased in Windows Volume Mixer (not just the voice output, other output sounds are decreased as well-so you may have trouble hearing sounds like the "boop" sound that occurs when you trigger your mic for push-to-talk). The basic mixer will be able to combine those signals from different signal sources, change the volumes of each input channel, as well as the overall volume of the mixer output. This is pretty easy to accomplish in AutoHotkey (AHK) to bind the hotkeys, then NirCmd to trigger the Increase/Decrease of the Discord application's volume.
